Unique features: This is a high end house in terms of size and quality. It sits on a beautiful site and takes advantage of it's Southern exposure with tile in the Living Room and Dining Room to collect heat. A geothermal/radiant floor system warms the house. A soapstone stove in the kitchen adds heat and beauty. All natural materials used, lots of wood and stone.

Problems encountered: It must have been meant to be as we changed the building codes in Connecticut to include straw as a building material. No real failures except that the cost is much higher than expected, partly due to size and part to inexperience on our part.
